Archaeologists, Bears and Hunters: Archaeology of Relationships Between Humans and Other Animals

The presentation’s topic is zooarchaeology, which is the study of relationships between humans and other animals in the past, based on skeletal remains found at archaeological sites. Discussions will include examples of recent analyses where themes such as food and identity are addressed.

Aviation and Wild Birds: Difficult Cohabitation

In 2003, Pierre Molina joined Falcon Environmental Services, a company specialized in managing wildlife at airports. He has since developed expertise and consulting services and his work takes him across Canada and abroad. During his presentation, Mr. Molina will talk about the challenges of aviation cohabiting with wild birds.

SEM’AIL is a public awareness, education and restoration program for wild garlic (Allium tricoccum) started by the Biodôme and supported by FMBS. Lend a hand in restoring this endangered species by planting wild garlic during a field trip with Andrée Nault, a scientific advisor and researcher at the Biodôme.
